Pernille Fischer Christensen graduated from The National Film School of Denmark in 1999 with the film INDIEN, in which Trine Dyrholm played the leading role. In 2000, INDIEN won an award in Cannes in the Selection Cinefondation and Pernille received the award for best film and best new talent at the International Film School Festival in Munich. Before that, she had directed the short films THE GIRL NAMED SISTER, HONDA HONDA and POESIE ALBUM. All three short films have sent Pernille Fischer around the world and have earned her awards at Montecatini Film Festival in 1994 and Poitiers International Film Festival in 1997. But it was with the short film HABIBTI MY LOVE (2002), that the Danish film business really opened their eyes to Pernille’s talent. HABIBTI MY LOVE earned Pernille Fischer Christensen a Robert for best short film in 2003 and the award for best Danish short film at the Odense Film Festival in 2002.

Pernille Fischer Christensen ha conseguito il diploma alla National Film School di Danimarca nel 1999 con il film INDIEN, del quale Trine Dyrholm č protagonista. Nel 2000 č poi arrivato il premio per il miglior film al festival di Cannes nella sezione Cinefondation. Nel 2002 il cortometraggio HABIBTI MY LOVE le ha fatto attribuire il premio come miglior corto ai Roberts(oscar danesi).
